PDEng programme Process and Equipment Design
Welcome to the website of the Design Programme "Process and Equipment Design"!
This Programme is organised by:

"Process and Equipment Design" is an advanced level traineeship that trains and educates MSc-graduates to become certified designers.
This traineeship is full time and takes two years to complete. After careful selection MSc-graduates are hired as PDEng trainees, becoming employees of the university, and receiving a salary.
Succesful employees are awarded the diploma:
"Professional Doctorate in Engineering" (PDEng)
and may add the abbreviation PDEng to their professional title. The PDEng diploma's are registered by:
- Royal Institution of Engineers (KIVI NIRIA, Koninklijk Instituut van Ingenieurs)
The Netherlands
The programme was developed in 1990 by TU Delft in close co-operation with the Research School Process Technology (OSPT) and the Dutch (chemical) industry.
Since then over 130 graduates have successfully completed the programme, and 20-24 PDEng trainees are normally enrolled.
Since 1 September 2006 DELFT Ingenious Design is also part of the
"3TU. School for Technological Design Stan Ackermans Institute"
